Final Product
You're almost there! It's time to create your final product!
In the two lesson series you have learnt about the start and the ending of the war. We have discussed the Rotterdam Blitz, how Rotterdam managed to rebuild and what it looks like today. Besides that, we have looked at our liberation, who took part in that and what our traditions today are concerning our liberation.
To sum all these learnings up, you are going to do two products. They are explained below:

To sum all these learnings up, you are going to do two products. They are explained below:
Documentary - 4 people
What would have happened if one of the events we discussed didn't take place? What would our country look like?
- Choose one event we discussed (for example Rotterdam Blitz or Liberation) and pretend it didn't happen.
- Choose a city where you are going to focus on. This may be your hometown or another city of your choice.
- Make a documentary about what the city would look like if your chosen event didn't happen.
- Everybody has to speak in the documentary. This can be an interview, a host or something else. Make sure you divide your tasks equally!
- Use the exercises you have done during this course as resource!
A day as... - 1 person
Take a look through someone else's eyes and write a page in their diary. You talk about the past and what has happened to you. You can choose your own character from the list, but make sure your character lives up to the following requirements:

Your page should be approximately 250 words long. Feel free to write more if you have a lot of inspiration!
- The character is or has been in the Netherlands during the war.
- The character is or has been in Rotterdam or at Liberation Day.

- Canadian soldier/veteran
- Jewish person
- Nurse
- Dutch citizen
- Dutch soldier
- German soldier
- Dutch resistance fighter
- A member of the Dutch Royal Family
